Hey y’all!
I hope you guys had a wonderful and blessed week! On Monday, we had a really big snow storm and we were in white-out conditions all day. Sounds awful, right? It was to an extent but it was also so beautiful and I wish that I didn’t have class because I could have curled up under a warm blanket with a steaming hot, sweet cup of coffee and a good book and I would have been the happiest lil’ camper around. Unfortunately, I had to lace up my duck boots and throw on a heavy jacket and trek through the arctic tundra I call my home just to learn about Microeconomics. That part was definitely gross. However, not everything about walking to class in sub-freezing temperatures was terrible. I had actually created the perfect playlist that just fits the mood of winter so well and I thought it would be fun to share it with you today!
First off, am I the only one who makes seasonal playlists? I may be weird but I love matching the mood of a season with music that just sort of fits. Winter is a favorite of mine especially for making these playlists because I adore slow, indie songs that seem like they should be playing off a vinyl in a cabin while you drink a warm cup of hot chocolate and watch the snow fall. I also enjoy a little kick of old country (don’t get me started on Johnny Cash, just don’t) for a little bit of fun and a different, but still fitting change. This playlist, particularly, captures such a wonderful mood and I always enjoy listening to it when I’m studying, blogging and trudging through the snow (and trying not to slip on ice) on my way to class. Please don’t hesitate to give it a listen!
- Dirty Paws – Of Monsters and Men
- Cherry Wine – Hozier
- Holocene – Bon Iver
- Saturn – Sleeping At Last
- Atlas Hands – Benjamin Francis Leftwich
- Take Me Home, Country Roads – John Denver
- Josh McBride – The Head and the Heart
- Coffee – Sylvan Esso
- All I Want – Kodaline
- I See Fire – Ed Sheeran
- Georgia – Vance Joy
- Highwayman – The Highwaymen
- Cardiac Arrest – Bad Suns
- Winter Winds – Mumford and Sons
- The Girl – City and Colour
I can’t even begin to explain to you guys how many times I’ve listened to this playlist but trust me, it’s so beautiful and mellow. Let me know if you guys want more of these in the future because I really enjoy finding new music and stringing it together! Thank you for reading and please stick around, I have some very exciting things coming to my blogs future! Thank you for all your support and I look forward to hearing from you all soon!
Love Always,

I can totally see that! I love Hozier especially in the winter for some reason (maybe because that’s when I first started listening to him?) I’m happy you have such a great taste in music! 🙂

I love having playlists that match the season! I usually don’t really create my own since Spotify has such a wide range of playlists for every mood and time of the day. That way I also find my “new favourite song”.
Love these pictures! Especially the first! So beautiful. 🙂
