Hey y’all!
Like many, maintaining my fitness and health has always had some sort of prevalence in my daily life – whether it be at the start of each new year or on the 4th of June for no specific reason. Also, like many, I know how hard it can be to keep up and maintain these goals while also juggling about six-hundred different aspects of life with them. I’ve been battling myself back-and-forth about starting this little fitness series/journey on my blog since it’s start (I know, I know. It’s only about three weeks old but still) and finally it’s here! With this project, I’m hoping to find motivation and a reason to literally push through the pain because of you guys. If I can help even just one of you find the ambition to let yourself find a healthy and balanced lifestyle, I will be fulfilled. So, here’s a huge thank you in advance because this adventure will not be perfect by any measure but I know I have the best little support group out there!
I know that was quite the emotional little earful but with that all being said, we can finally start the first chapter of this series! Honestly, this is more like the prelude of this journey because the actual series will begin next week when my new semester starts but hey, I couldn’t wait much longer. Today, I honestly wanted to just introduce this idea to all of you but, to be quite honest, that’s boring. So, in an attempt to spice things up, I created a little collection of things I’d absolutely die with out when it comes to my fitness routine. I truly hope you guys find some useful advice and enjoy this!
CUTE WORKOUT CLOTHES: This is a total must. Honestly, I feel so much more motivated to get my butt up and moving when I am wearing bright colors and fun patterns. Unless I sweat up a storm, I seldom change after I workout because I do go to the gym in the morning before my afternoon classes. The best part is that I can totally justify always being in workout clothes if I actually workout too – it’s great! So, in order to maximize my comfort and still look cute, I always make sure to have a variety of fun fitness gear at all times.
GOOD WORKOUT SHOES: Another must-have. Having a good, worthwhile pair of gym shoes is absolutely crucial. Remember, your feet literally take you everywhere so you need to optimize the way you treat them. Proper cushioning and support is necessary (especially when lifting heavy weights) because your feet stabilize you and are literally your foundation in maintaining good form. I love the Nike Flex Trainer line because they offer great support while still being lightweight, comfortable and flexible.
HATS/HEADBANDS: If you’re anything like me, you don’t appreciate your hair falling in your face and sticking to you while you’re in the middle of a set. (Actually, if ANYONE likes that I’d honestly be surprised because it feels disgusting and it’s distracting.) I take full advantage of wearing hats to the gym because they keep everything out of my face and they still look cute. Headbands are optimal when I feel like looking a little cuter (rare occasions, my friends) but regardless, I don’t think I could workout without having one or the other with me.
WATER: *Insert GIF of SpongeBob under Sandy’s dome saying “waaaater”* But all jokes aside, working out without water is just silly; I always need it, wherever I go. Plus, drinking a lot of water makes your skin glow and helps prevent breakouts so keep that in mind next time you’re reaching for a soda.
CHAP-STICK: Weird and random, I’m aware. My lips are always always always dry and I honestly don’t know why. For some reason, when I work out and work up a sweat, my lips dry out even more. It’s such a nightmare of a process but honestly, just a plain old chap-stick isn’t too much of a burden to carry around with me.
EARBUDS: 100% ALWAYS NEED. I listen to music anywhere I go alone so I almost always have earbuds with me. The right music really pumps me up and helps me put in a great workout! Trust me, if anything is a necessity, it’s having a good workout playlist and a pair of earbuds that always travels to the gym and back with me.
So, there ya have it! If I were to go without any of these items when working on my health and fitness, I would probably go crazy. I’m so excited that you guys get to be a part of this journey for me. It means so much to me to constantly have the love and support that I am lucky enough to receive from my followers. If y’all have any requests on any sort of health or fitness posts, please let me know because while this is physically for my well-being, I’m doing it to also help you guys. I can’t wait to see where this takes us! Until we chat again, happy lifting!
Love always,
-Hay ☼

I literally went like 6 seperates times! It’s totally a addiction. A lot of people don’t know but during the semi annual sale, you can take back your original receipt 14 days after purchase and you get a price adjustment. So basically every item you purchased got discounted even more and you can get the difference back! I literally get hundreds of dollars back it’s totally worth it!!!!

I love this!! Your workout clothes are so cute – I really need to get some to give myself motivation. Right now I’m just slipping on a tee and running shorts, which isn’t NEARLY as cute or fun!
