When I was in high school, I was in a business club called DECA. In this organization we would go to conventions in which we would role play in professional settings in order to work through an obstacle or problem. Also, as part of these conventions we would be required to dress and speak professionally. (Now I know you all are probably questioning my motives in telling you this little anecdote but I swear that there is a method to my craziness). SO, before my first role play I sat in front of a mirror for about two hours practicing my introduction (“Hi, I’m Hayley Ehresman”) over and over and over and over. That’s sorta how I’m imagining introducing myself to you all right now.
That was an awfully long-winded way of saying my name but you’ll come to find that I’m a talker and I can talk for hours about nothing. It’s one of my fatal flaws, to be quite honest.
Okay so blogging. Why the heck am I here? Well that’s the million dollar question now, isn’t it? I have plenty of reasons why I’m here but I’ll refer back to my earlier statement when I said that I can talk for ages; so plain and simple, I am writing to you because I want to. That’s it. I feel like I can offer some sound advice and show you some pretty pictures here and there but this blog is for me (hence the name “Project Hay”). I am fully confident in the fact that blogging about my life will teach me a lot about myself and will help me grow as an individual. So that’s why I am here, but you are welcome to stick around for the ride.
Now, I know you guys are like “okay okay, so I know who you are and why you’re here (kinda) but why should we stick around?” Honestly, that’s a great question to ask. So here’s the deal. I am a very flexible, open-minded person. That being said.. I wanna write about it all! I have plans to write about fashion, organization, life updates, photography adventures, beauty reviews, & so on and so forth. BUT, I also want you to enjoy what you are reading while we are spending our precious time together. So please please please reply to my posts with requests and ideas. Like I said, open-minded.
With that all being said, thank you for being a part of my first! I want to say thank you for having patience to do this with me, you’re the real MVP. This’ll be fun and exciting and I can’t do it with out your support so thank you for being part of this little virtual family!
